these honeybees are from hives that did not survive the winter in the northern united states. they have been thoroughly sanitized several times, thus smell like mildly “sweet” alcohol. each container contains slightly over a half cup mix — containing workers, some drones, and even a rare pupa. if more than one half cup is ordered, the quantity will be combined into a single container.
