lichen shrines product care
All animal, nature, and insect remains are organic material and fragile. They have the potential to deteriorate if not cared for or stored properly.
Legally, past a very small quantity, wet specimens must be shipped without isopropyl alcohol.

frames & cloches
sunlight will fade the colors of the piece (flowers, insects, etc). avoid placing in a humid area. do not shake or expose to water.
wet specimens
all wet specimens were first embalmed, stabilized, and are now in 70% isopropyl alcohol (which has already been replaced at least twice at time of purchase). keep out of direct sunlight and do not expose to heat or flame (combustible). slight yellowing or evaporation of alcohol over time is normal and can be replaced or "topped off" at owner's discretion.
mummies
keep in a cool, dry place. all mummies processed in house are embalmed then dehydrated. select mummies or mummies over a certain size are gutted & stuffed with herbs (lavender, sage, sometimes cedar).
anything else
If care information is not listed in the product description for a product not listed above and is needed, send an email or direct message.
wall plaques
see frames & cloches. pulling or agitating foliage accents is discouraged and will degrade the piece's integrity.
